Welcome to the Open Science Working Group!

The Open Science Working Group was initially founded in 2019. In spring 2025, a process of realignment and transformation took place to further strengthen its impact both within and outside Freie Universität Berlin. Since autumn 2025, it has been meeting every two months. For further information please contact us.

We are a group of researchers, educators, students, and librarians who are interested in promoting the principles and values of Open Science/Research at Freie Universität Berlin.

We welcome like-minded people from all disciplines and parts of the university to discuss open science practices, ideas, views, news, and skills.
