The 1,5-day workshop is offered by FUB’s Coordination Office for Research Integrity (Dr. B. Anstötz & Dr. T. Weitner) and imparts knowledge about

  • the principles and rules of Good Research Practice
  • different forms of scientific misconduct and questionable research practices
  • the relevant regulations and the support and complaints structures.

The workshops also includes an introduction to research data management, research ethics, and publication practices. Participants will gain the ability to apply this knowledge in their own research context, i.e. to conduct research responsibly and ethically. Participants will also gain awareness of conflicts related to research misconduct and normative aspects of research in general. Case studies will be analyzed and discussed and tasks assigned for group work.

The workshops will take place on June 1, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on June 2, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m (Arnimallee 14; Cafeteria 1.1.25). Participants may miss a maximum of 1,5 hours in order to receive a certificate. By completing an optional homework assignment, participants will receive 1 CP for the workshop. The workshop is recognized as a compulsory course in good research practice according to the doctoral regulations of the departments and is open to all doctoral researchers of FU Berlin.

Thank you for your interest in the course. Unfortunately, due to the high number of registrations, we have had to close registration. It is also no longer possible to join the waiting list at this time.
