The conference Digital Subjectivities: Culture, Experience, and Knowledge Production will take place from 21st to 22nd May 2026, at Freie Universität Berlin.

The "Digital Subjectivities" conference is an international event foregrounding the work of early-career researchers (PhD scholars and postdocs) across disciplines from sociology and cultural studies to media studies and history. The program features scholars representing universities from 15 different countries, spans two days, and includes 12 panels. The conference addresses how digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and platform infrastructures actively shape human identity, labor, and social relations. A focal point of the program is the keynote address by Prof. Tiziana Terranova , who will present on "The Technosociogenic Principle and the Question of Digital Subjectivities". Terranova is a word-famous digital scholar and is a great win for us.
