Research Data

The digital transformation has fundamentally changed research processes, methods, and procedures. Large amounts of data are generated daily in numerous academic departments; many disciplines and projects use data as the subject of their research, enrich it, analyze it, and visualize it. In doing so, researchers face the challenge of not only managing this data but also ensuring its long-term accessibility and usability, and making it available to others for reuse whenever possible. The corresponding procedures, tools, and infrastructures form essential core elements of research data management, which is now considered a hallmark of good scientific practice.
