Luke Johnson earned his master's degree in Global Affairs from Yale University in 2018. He has been a teaching fellow at Yale and taught comparative politics at CIEE Berlin. He is a journalist and political analyst based in Berlin focused on Central and Eastern Europe, frequently traveling to the region. His reporting and analysis has been published in The New Republic, Foreign Policy, Columbia Journalism Review, The Washington Post, The Parliament Magazine, Fortune, The Daily Beast, Medium, Al-Jazeera America, and Internationale Politik Quarterly, where he is a regular contributor. He also writes the Substack newsletter Public Sphere, covering global affairs.
