News from May 18, 2026
The CRC 1512 is based at Freie Universität Berlin and began its work in 2022. Collaborating institutions are Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Universität der Künste Berlin, Europa-Universität Viadrina, Frankfurt (Oder), Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, and Universität Duisburg-Essen.
Within the Collaborative Research "Center Intervening Arts," artists and researchers from arts-related disciplines have been working with researchers from philosophy, history, sociology, and cultural anthropology to investigate the relations and interdependencies between arts, academia and public spheres. The results and interim findings of this work are reflected in publications, various types of events, and in laboratory settings. Further information about these projects can be found on the CRC website.
We warmly congratulate the spokespersons and staff of the CRC "Intervening Arts" on this success and look forward to more exciting projects.
