We will inform separately selected program participants about the specific locations for onsite sessions after the confirmation of participation.

Thirsday, May 28, 10:00 - 14:00 with Amanda Wichert and Saskia Vellgut

  • Learn about the program and get an overview of what you’ll experience over the next six weeks
  • Build an understanding of the importance of peer networking in the German job market and get to know your peers in the coaching program and build your peer coaching teams.

  • Get a first overview of the German job market and learn why it’s so important to understand German employers before starting your application journey.

  • Start reflecting on what your goals are and what you want to achieve (and learn how to get ahead of procrastination)!

  • Qualitative Analysis: Complete your transferrable skills profile.

  • Strengths and Motivations: Creative work to guide you in making a confident career choice.

Monday, June 8, 10:00 – 13:00 with Amanda Wichert

  • Learn how to match employer expectations (key skills, knowledge, and experience) with your personal profile in order to build an effective CV that will get past the initial selection process. 
  • Discover how to identify and bridge skill and experience gaps efficiently.

Workshop: Thursday, June 11, 10:00 - 13:00 with Amanda Wichert

  • Learn about the basics of the CV and cover letter for Germany and what employers really expect from your application documents. 
  • Use the scaffolding from the last session to build a basic CV and cover letter.

Self-Guided Learning: 2 hours

  • The Chart: Build your core profile and complete the activity “Bridging the Gap”.

  • Complete your core profile and draft one of your CV.

  • Polish your cover letter and CV and make them stand out. 
  • Get additional input from your expert trainer and your peers and build a great application package.

Peer and Expert Coaching Round

Get expert feedback from the course trainer and participate in a peer feedback round.

  • Learn how to approach interviews: show up confident, set the right vibe, and respond to questions clearly.

  • Learn how to present your application effectively in order to get it seen by the hiring manager. 
  • Learn tips and tools for making sure German employers really look at your CV and explore methods for getting past AI that really work.
  •  Bring your open questions and get clarity on what matters.

  • Interview questions deconstructed: Learn how to prepare for interview questions with a perspective switch.
