On April 1, 2026, the DAAD once again announced calls for project funding. Different requirements apply depending on the cooperation partner. The following programs are available for Latin America:

• PROALAR (in cooperation with CONICET, valid for Argentina): Deadline July 31, 2026
• PROBRAL (in cooperation with CAPES, valid for Brazil): Deadline May 28, 2026
• PROPASP (in cooperation with FAPESP, valid for the state of São Paulo): Deadline June 8, 2026

The guest professor program has also been re-announced, offering funding for teaching visits by international guests from all countries and academic departments. You can find the detailed guidelines here. The deadline is 15 July 2026.
