The DAAD has announced 12 funding programs effective April 1, 2026.

The following funding programs are new to the portfolio:

• Africa Center of Excellence for Sustainable Infrastructure (Ghana)
• Center of Excellence for Application-Oriented and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (Location: Kenya) Line A – Capacity Building, Training, and Knowledge Transfer
• Center of Excellence for Application-Oriented and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (Location: Kenya) Line B – Funding for German and Kenyan doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers
