Preparing Students for the Future: Current Challenges and Future Directions in University Career Counseling

Career counseling and career guidance at universities faces complex challenges: new forms of work and emerging technologies are reshaping required qualifications; curricula and employers’ expectations do not always align; and advising must increasingly respond to very diverse needs — from first generation and international students to people with disabilities. At the same time, many career centers grapple with limited personnel and financial resources, which make sustainable support difficult. In our track we provide a space for peer exchange to share experiences, discuss concrete solutions, and develop strategies for fairer, future proof advising services.
